About the event
With the advent of Spring, it brings Happiness, the moment to get together and celebrate it wholeheartedly, as it marks the beginning of the Assamese Calendar Year. Assam Society of Bangalore takes the privilege to organize its 21st Spring Festival on the very 11th of April 2020. The Event will showcase our Culture through our traditional Folk Dances, Bihu Husori, and with various other performances along with North East Food Fest. The Main Attraction of the Evening would be the renowned Singers from Assam, Neel Akash and Subasana Dutta. We are pleased to Invite you all for the Celebration.

Rituraj DekaThe ‘Assam Society of Bangalore’ was established in the year 1982. It is registered under Society’s registration Act wherein the registration no is ‘SOR-GNR-13/2007-08’. The ‘Assam Society of Bangalore’ is an individual body consisting of nearly 5000 students, 4000 software professionals and 1500- 2000 other members like doctors, businessmen, housewives, security guards, etc. from Assam.
The ‘Assam Society of Bangalore’ is a non-government, non-political and a Socio-cultural organization with the aim of building up unity and integrity among the people from Assam in Bangalore with an effort of uplifting the rich Assamese culture and building co-ordination between the peoples of Karnataka and Assam in Bangalore. Irrespective of cast and creed the ‘Assam Society of Bangalore’ is comprised with all types of members originating from Assam.
‘The state, phosphorous in the historical, cultural and religious domain, conceivably is unrivaled in its vicissitude’. ..The ‘Assam Society of Bangalore’ gives an effort to present a peep into all these aspects. Since 1998 onwards the ‘Assam Society of Bangalore’ has played a very crucial role in the contribution of uplifting the rich Assamese culture and Heritage. The organization has also played an outstanding role in bringing all the individuals from Assam residing in Bangalore in one platform. Many more future plans are being made for the unity& co-ordination, uplifting the rich Assamese culture and heritage of Assam among the people from Assam living in Bangalore.
