About the event
Peaks of Life is a 501c3 non-profit organization comprised of hikers, climbers, mountaineers and lovers of the outdoors based in Seattle, WA. We strive to raise money for the Uncompensated Care Fund at Seattle Children's Hospital through our efforts in the mountains and local community. The climbs and classes we lead aim to encourage exploration of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, promote outdoor fluency, and a healthy lifestyle. The proceeds from our events go toward helping children and families overcome the burden of medical expenses so that kids can have the opportunity to enjoy all that nature has to offer.
We're hosting our annual fundraising gala on September 21, 2018 at 415 Westlake Ave N and are actively seeking sponsors for this event. This event is our single biggest fundraiser of the year. It gives us the platform to interact with caregivers at Seattle Children's Hospital, recipients of the uncompensated care fund, active participants of our climbs and classes, and members the local community as well as businesses who support us through their donations of time and money.
Why should you sponsor?
A sponsorship would help cover the costs associated with the event, such as rental fees and catering costs, which will directly increase our contribution to the Uncompensated Care Fund at Seattle Children’s Hospital. As a 100% volunteer-run operation, all members of our team work full-time jobs and do not receive any monetary compensation from Peaks of Life.
Jane ChenI grew up spending summers (and winters) at the beach in sunny Southern California. I received an undergraduate degree in economics with a minor in neuroscience from University of California, Los Angeles. After spending many years roaming the LA concrete jungle, I moved to Seattle in pursuit of a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the University of Washington. I've been captivated by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and is looking forward to new adventures in the mountains.
