2016 South Coast Rowing Championships ,

About the event

Herne Bay Amateur Rowing Club have been selected to host the
Coastal Rowing Championships in September 2016, which is the first time it has
been held in Herne Bay since 1985 and we are looking for an individual or
company to offer sponsorship for the event.

As a club, we have already had discussions with the City Council
Foreshore Team who are fully supportive of the event who agree it should be good
for the town, with 600+ rowers (between the ages of 14 and 72) expected plus
of-course a large number of family and friends. We are looking for just £2,500
to help with the cost of hosting the event, the prizes and the hire of six
safety and umpire boats.

We have been working towards hosting this event for a number
of years and to that end we do of course have a budget, however it would be a
massive boost if we were able to find a sponsor and as explained the money will
be put to good use.

What we can offer a sponsor..

The Championship in 2015 is to be held in Wimblebourne and
at that event we plan to give out "Invitation to Herne Bay 2016"
booklets, which will list Hotels, B&Bs, Restaurants etc, this like the main
regatta programme, will be emblazoned with “Sponsored by (your name/company)”,
likewise your support will be mentioned on our 2016 Championship page on the
club website. We will be having large advertising posters printed again they
would state “Sponsored by (your name/company)”. We hope to get considerable
local press coverage, T.V. and newspapers and if you have company
banners/posters etc, we would be happy to use these as a backdrop for the prize
giving ceremony. The prizes will be presented by Greg Searle MBE (2012 Rowing Olympian)
and Dan Ritchie (World Champion in
the men’s eight at the 2013 World Rowing Championships).
