About the event
The Organising Committee of the 2016 Moth Nationals and South of Perth Yacht Club are offering an opportunity to align Tourism WA with an exciting, clean and green advertising medium.
The International Moth Class is a hydro-foiling sailing dinghy sailed by a one person crew and is considered the extreme of sailing and is sailed by some of the top sailors on the planet. Olympic, Americas Cup and Volvo Ocean Race sailors choose to sail the Moth in their time away from their other commitments. The recent Moth World Championships attracted over 160 competitors, and the entry list read like a “who’s who” of the yacht racing world.
The 2016 Nationals will be held over a week during January 2016, and we have a range of sponsorship opportunities available. Packages start at $2000 for bronze level, with a single naming rights sponsorship for a contribution in excess of $10,000.
According to the 2000 Sweeney Report for the Australian Institute of Sport, a large percentage of those involved in sailing work in management positions and are business owners and decision makers, earning above average incomes. Sailing is a growth sport with exposure to a large consumer group associated with achievement and goal attainment.
Sailing is participated in and watched by a large cross section of the community. Within the yacht club environment there is always the opportunity of networking to ensure your company or product will not go unrecognised. The sport of sailing projects a clean, healthy, and environmentally friendly image. The viewing of the Moth class will be made even more spectacular with the Swan River backdrop. These images will provide great marketing material for the promotion of your business.
