About the event

The UK has a compelling story to tell when it comes to water safety and drowning prevention efforts.  Our drowning fatality rates are among the lowest in the world.  We have first class search and rescue services, excellent data, and intelligence in place to understand the key causes.

Despite this, we still loose on average 400 people a year to drowning.  

This year’s national water safety conference will explore the challenges we all face to reduce this number further, whilst looking to maintain heritage, principles of access, and ability to take risks.
