11th Annual CROSO Benefit,

Germania Place, Chicago, Illinois, United States Germania Place, Chicago, Illinois, United States

  • About the event

CROSO's 11th Annual Benefit raises funds to support post-secondary scholarships for former street children in Uganda. This year, the benefit will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 6:00pm-10:00pm at Germania Place, a beautiful 125-year-old historic landmark building in Chicago. The event will begin with a cocktail hour and time for all 300 attendees to bid on silent auction items and purchase raffle tickets. Attendees will then transition to the ballroom for our seated dinner, program, and paddle raise. Last year, this event raised over $75,000 and with your help, we can raise even more this year!

    Why should you sponsor?

CROSO is inviting businesses to get involved in this event as sponsors, underwriters, and in-kind donors. This is a great opportunity to show local communities that you recognize your role in the global community and understand the life-changing impact that education can have on individuals and their surroundings.

Your company's tax-deductible contribution will go toward ensuring a  brighter future for Ugandan street children through higher education.

    About the nonprofit organization:
CROSO (Child Restoration Outreach Support Organization) is dedicated to making possible the transformation of Ugandan communities by providing post-secondary scholarships to former street children in Uganda. We believe providing our scholars with access to higher education gives them the tools to provide for  themselves and their families for the rest of their lives.

CROSO has been providing scholarships to former street kids in Uganda for over ten years. The CROSO Scholarship goes beyond just covering tuition; it includes all the expenses our scholars will incur while at school including housing, meals, internship expenses, and a laptop. Each scholar is also paired with a mentor in the U.S. with whom they email monthly. We currently support 20 scholars and have seen 19 scholars graduate.

With 14 applications pending, the need for scholarships is far greater than we are currently able to meet. With your support, this event can help us increase the number of scholars we support. Armed with the academic skills, career experience (gained through their internships) and a new professional network, our graduates have the ability to become leaders in their communities!
