The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual competition, organised by the EBU (European Broadcasting Union). It takes place one week in May every year, and between 36-40 countries participate. Each country must submit an original composition of no more than 3 minutes duration. After all the songs are performed, there is a vote, and the winning country hosts the following year's Contest. Founded in 2016, EuroStarz is a fun-packed, London based live music concert, showcasing artists from the Contest. The EuroStarz Events Team is a group of fans who love the Eurovision Song Contest and want to share that love with others.
Our objective is to give Eurovision a positive image, as it's something that often polarises opinion. The UK media, in particular, love to ridicule Eurovision, but the EuroStarz team think our annual concert is a perfect opportunity to challenge any negativity and highlight how wonderfully talented these artists are.
We have been very lucky to have some Eurovision winners, including Linda Martin and Niamh Kavanagh from Ireland, Emmelie De Forest from Denmark and Anne-Marie David, who represented Luxembourg.
