About our event

The Immersive Vortex Dome Show is an innovative entertainment experience premiering in June 2018, brought to you by SOKAMBA Performing Arts Company at the Vortex Dome LA - located on LA Center Studios, the production home for several television series and feature films such as Mad Men, The Voice, Die Hard, The Dark Knight Rises, and Law & Order LA.

The 360-Degree Vortex Dome Projection Screen allows the audience to engage in a fully immersive experience while the show fuses live dance, music, theatre, acrobatics, animation and motion graphics to engage its audience in an exhilarating show. Additionally guests partake in interactive exercises to engage with fellow audience members on a personal level — extending the 360 experience from audio and visual to hands-on participation, fully activating all senses.

A new level is added to the typical performance experience; giving audience members a deepened impact on the mind, body and soul by activating tactile memory and social emotional responses.

Part I

Audience members arrive to a welcoming, decorated outdoor patio for food and drinks provided by vendors/local artisans.

Part II

Audience participates in a series of interactive activities which allows them to contribute creative content to the show while building community with friends and strangers - reflecting on themes of trust, vulnerability and environmental sustainability

Part III

Audience enters the 360 dome for an immersive entertainment experience. Open seating encourages the division of boundaries, as groups are encouraged to sit with new friends and form larger circles. Let the show begin!
