  • About the event

    Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive (EAD) is our flagship initiative which is a massive pan-India drive to reach out to the colleges across different cities in India. EAD started in 2009 when start-up as a word, was still flourishing in India and was conducted in 10 cities in 10 days. Since then, EAD has grown manifold to an extent that it has had a significant impact in promoting entrepreneurship across the nation in different cities.  In 2017 (last year's) edition of EAD, we successfully covered 22 cities across the country. E-Cell, IIT Kharagpur has decided to take this initiative further as we launch the new edition of EAD this year with an agenda to end the growing misconceptions around the word Start-up and offer the students a head start for their own business models.

    Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive (EAD) will consist of Guest lectures/Workshops (arranged by E-Cell, IIT Kharagpur) by eminent and successful entrepreneurs followed by an Open House Session for students/ Networking Session in which the attendees could interact with these industry experts and seek their advice on various spheres of entrepreneurship. During EAD, students will be exposed to the avenues of business models, Start-ups and the resources which can be effectively utilized as the building blocks of their journey as an entrepreneur.
