The Michigan Association of Conservation Districts (MACD) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) membership organization that serves Michigan’s 75 Conservation Districts. Our mission is to strengthen Conservation Districts through leadership, information, and representation at the state level. We do this by providing outreach and advocacy, educational programming, and business services to help Conservation Districts thrive.
Michigan Conservation Districts are unique local units of government that are the local providers of natural resource management services, utilizing state, federal, and private sector resources to solve today’s conservation challenges.
As the world continues to change around us, from both social and environmental perspectives, Conservation Districts must prepare, plan, and adapt in order to face whatever challenges the 21st Century will present. Our 2021 Virtual Summer Conference will focus on how Conservation Districts can better position themselves to meet those challenges head on.
Your support is key to our success and sponsorships are a great way to increase your visibility in our growing state-wide conservation community! Conservation Districts are the "boots on the ground" who implement critical conservation work throughout all of Michigan. As the statewide association for Michigan's Conservation Districts, we provide training and education services, organizational capacity building, legislative advocacy, and more to our membership resulting in stronger, more effective state-wide conservation programming. By supporting MACD, you'll be directly contributing to conservation efforts across the state.
