Bank on Women was created to celebrate women in business and philanthropy and specifically their support of Tarrant Area Food Bank. This year’s celebration will coincide with North Texas Giving Day, and never more has TAFB needed the power of women in philanthropy.
Proceeds will go to our Fort Worx program. Fort Worx is a collaboration between the Tarrant Area Food Bank, Taste Project, and The Culinary School of Fort Worth. Students are paid for attending the program and are led and trained by our two chefs. Students learn the fundamentals of food preparation hands-on in a working production kitchen. Apprentices spend their last 8 weeks in the Mission Kitchen at the Tarrant Area Food Bank preparing thousands of ready-to-eat meals.
